I’m super stoked to be partnering with the Ontario Cycling Association to bring four women-focused webinars to everyone in the next two weeks! From RED-S to how to make a career in cycling, we’re going ALL over the place (while staying home). If you are a member of the OCA, awesome, but the webinars are open to anyone, and I’d love to have everyone come hang out! (PS: Men are also welcome, with the exception of the Lady’s Night 4/26. And the info for getting back outside on the bike and the RED-S talk are both super relevant for everyone!)
Check out the topics + mark your calendars:
Tuesday 4/20 7-8PM | Prepping to get back outside on the bike We’re off the trainer, we’re out of the house… and now we’re bonking, we’ve got a flat and we forgot to bring a spare tube, and is that a saddle sore starting? Here’s what you need to know to have the best outdoor riding season, from pre-ride stretches, to what to pack on every ride, to how to make sure your bike fit is dialed in, to how to choose a route that makes sense for you. |
Registration will close Monday April 19 @ 5pm. Zoom link will be emailed once registration is closed. |
Thursday 4/22 7-8PM | What you need to know about RED-S Ontario-based researcher and former pro triathlete Alexandra Coates joins Molly Hurford to talk all about signs and symptoms of RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport), a tricky topic that plagues all cyclists, but women in particular. RED-S is the primary topic, though overtraining and overreaching in cycling will also be touched on—this is one topic that any cyclist with big goals should tune in for! There will be plenty of time for questions as well. |
Registration will close Monday April 21 @ 5pm. Zoom link will be emailed once registration is closed. |
Monday 4/26 7-8PM | How to Ride Comfortable: The Most Helpful Virtual Happy Hour Ever All the awkward questions you could ever have about cycling comfort, answered. We’ll get honest about everything from sports bras to saddle sores, and no topic is off limits. Think of this as a virtual lady’s night, so pour yourself a beer and settle in for a funny, honest chat. (Participants will be able to privately ask questions in the chat if there’s a topic they want to hear about!) |
Registration will close Monday April 25 @ 5pm. Zoom link will be emailed once registration is closed. |
Thursday 4/29 7-8PM | Where are women in cycling? (Or, How to break into cycling as a woman) Join us for a roundtable discussion with a few of the many women involved in cycling in Ontario. Moderator and cycling industry veteran Molly Hurford will be joined by women coaches, racers, race promoters, nutritionists, OCA coordinators and more, all talking about how to break into cycling as a woman.
