Today another basic step that many athletes I see could go back and review and work on doing more of.
We want to be comfortable coasting out of the saddle and then move to being comfortable moving the bike around and pedaling over varying surfaces while standing.
Do you need to work on standing ? 2 Tests.
First Test is Ride for an extended period of time standing … is it hard ?
Second Test is do a maximal test outside … do you stand in the final sprint/end of interval, or do you draw on all that spin class ‘training’ and drape over your handlebars disregarding traffic laws and other equine trail users ?
