We’re huge fans of using whatever is around you for a strength workout—as regular travelers, finding gym time can be difficult, so while I love to lift heavy weights when I can, most of my workouts are done with body weight and maybe a prop or two. So, Peter—a coach and owner of SmartAthlete—and I filmed this quick guide to strength training, using a guardrail at a park right after a run.
So, check out these moves: super good for endurance athletes for building strength. I run through a few sets of these a couple times a week, and it doesn’t take a ton of time. Just turn on some music and run through it, doing 6-10 reps of each exercise 3-4 times through. You’ll notice most of these can be made easier/harder by going deeper into movements, or opting for the different options that we get into.
Check it out and enjoy!
