For some reason, I’ve never loved interval training of any kind—it’s a big reason I’ve gravitated towards long distance events like Ironman, and why I admittedly suck at shorter events like cyclocross, despite loving it. But in the last two years, I’ve finally become a grudging convert to going hard during runs once a week. And it honestly is never as bad as I think it’s going to be! So, over at MapMyRun, I’m talking all about interval training for runners, and what you need to know to make them actually work for you. The good news: If you’re new to interval training, it doesn’t take much to make improvements quickly.
