Do you have an athletic bucket list of dream races or far-off goals? I know most runners and cyclists have some kind of either in-their-head or written-out list of things that they’d love to do, but rarely are they organized or laid out in an actual achievable way. I started thinking about the idea of Bucket Lists a while ago, and realized for athletes, there are four main types of athletic goals/motivators, so I took what I thought were the best four ‘buckets’ (places to run, dream races, types of runs, pace-specific goals) and wrote about how each of them can play into creating your ultimate bucket list of runs (or rides) that you can ACTUALLY start working on, not just occasionally daydream about. Bonus at work coming up? Maybe you can plan that dream running destination vacation. Time-crunched and busy AF? Maybe you can still work on that goal of a sub-20 minute 5K. Basically, create a bucket list that will allow you to be working towards one of your goals at any given time! Read the whole article here.
